Announcements

• As of the end of March, soup sales have brought in about $900!
• The bus trip to NYC on November 15th raised $774.43. Another trip will be scheduled for spring of 2009.
• Those cute little cupcakes on Halloween brought in $58 for the team.
• The 2009 Relay For Life of Hershey will be held at Lower Dauphin High School from June 19th at 4pm to June 20th at 4pm. Our team is already registered.
• At the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Relay For Life in Hershey, organizers announced that the event raised an impressive total of $113,000! JPL United’s efforts brought in $7,909.47 and also earned us Gold Club status for donating over $7,500. JPL United was the third highest fundraising team at the event, with Falcons and Friends as the highest fundraiser, turning in over $10,000 and reaching Platinum status.

Fundraising Progress

JPL United began in 2004 by JPL employees in memory of Joseph Surges, a former co-worker who passed away in December 2003 from brain cancer. We participate in Relay For Life of Hershey every summer. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society.
